VISION INBIOMED was a coordination and support action (CSA) funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission under the banner ICT Virtual Physiological Human (VPH). The project was 2.5 years 2011 to 2013 and had a total budget of 1.1M €. 7 partners from research organizations were met throughout the EU and wascoordinated by Pompeu Fabra University (Spain).
The aim of INBIOMEDvision was to monitor the evolution of the field of Biomedical Informatics and to meet its scientific challenges through collaborative efforts by a broad group of experts with complementary perspectives on the field. The project has placed special emphasis on the dissemination of Biomedical Informatics concepts, knowledge and resources, and the consolidation of a community of Biomedical Informatics researchers by promoting interaction between scientists from a wide range of related fields.
INBIOMEDvision has achieved important results and conclusions of these activities have been published and widely disseminated through the communication channels of the project and relevant scientific conferences in Europe and worldwide.
